Driving or Cycling

Driving or cycling to the Western Isles could not be simpler as there are differing routes to take via either Oban, Uig on Skye or the most commonly used one from Ullapool on board the "MV Isle of Lewis". On the assumption you might have arrived in Stornoway from Ullapool, follow the signs for Tarbert via the A859 for 15 miles until you reach Balallan. At the southern end of this village, turn left along the B8060 for four miles and you will find Ravenspoint situated on the left hand side in the village of Kersahder having passed through the village of Habost. Driving from Tarbert on the Isle of Harris (via Ferry from Uig on the Isle of Skye), follow the signs for Stornoway (Steornabhagh) for approximately 17 miles. Just as you arrive in Balallan, turn right along the B8060 for four miles and you will find Ravenspoint.
