RAVENSPOINT HOSTEL

Our 14-bed hostel is located in the former schoolmaster’s semi-detached house immediately next to the shop and tea-room and other facilities at Ravenspoint.

We have three rooms of bunk-beds:

• Erisort Room (overlooking Loch Erisort) with 6 beds

• Steimreway Room with 4 beds
• Shiants Room with 4 beds (which may be booked as a family room)

All rooms have Gaelic names, and pictures of local views. The emphasis is on basic, good-quality, clean accommodation. There are two toilets and showers. Linen and sheets are provided. Washing and drying facilities are also available. There is also a well-equipped kitchen, with electric cooker, and a comfortable residents’ lounge facing the loch.

Current prices (2010) per night are £15 for adults and £13 for juniors aged under 16, or £50 for the exclusive use of the family room. Prices

include a basic supply of food-stuffs, and other food can be purchased next door in the shop.

As well as individual and family bookings, we are happy to accommodate larger groups on request. We believe the hostel provides a good base from which to explore the surrounding coun

tryside and wildlife, and to appreciate and research the area’s hi
